Hi @MabrookAlizai,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To change the fan settings on your HP Pavilion 15.6 Inch Gaming Laptop to always run at full speed, you have a few options. These methods typically involve either using BIOS settings or software tools. Here's a detailed guide.
BIOS Settings
Restart Your Laptop:
- Save any open work and restart your laptop.
Enter BIOS Setup:
- As the laptop starts up, repeatedly press the BIOS key (often F2, F10, Esc, or Del) until you enter the BIOS setup. The key might vary, so you might see a prompt on the screen during startup.
Locate Fan Settings:
- Once in the BIOS, navigate to the "Advanced" or "Hardware Monitor" tab using the arrow keys. Look for settings related to the fan control. This might be labeled as "Fan Speed Control" or something similar.
Set Fans to Full Speed:
- Change the fan settings to run at full speed. This might be an option to set the fan speed manually or a setting to disable automatic fan control, forcing the fans to run at maximum speed.
Save and Exit:
- Save your changes and exit the BIOS setup. Your laptop will restart with the new settings.
Using HP Command Center
Download and Install HP Command Center:
- If not already installed, you can download it from the Microsoft Store or HP's website.
Open HP Command Center:
- Launch the HP Command Center from the Start menu.
Adjust Thermal Profile:
- Navigate to the "Thermal" or "Performance" section. Set the thermal profile to "Performance" or "Cool" mode, which might push the fans to run faster.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Clean the Fans:
- Dust and debris can significantly impact cooling efficiency. Clean the fans and vents using compressed air.
Apply Thermal Paste:
- If you’re comfortable opening your laptop, consider reapplying thermal paste to the CPU and GPU for better heat transfer.
Notes and Warnings:
- Noise Level: Running fans at full speed constantly will increase noise levels.
- Hardware Limits: Always monitor temperatures to ensure the laptop components are not overheating, even with fans running at full speed.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
