Hello!
I have an HP-15-fc0008nia laptop. I'm going to buy an HP USB-C Dock G4 dock and a power cable for it in order to use the laptop as a workstation, i.e. turn on the laptop with the power button on the workstation.
But the connector in my laptop does not support thunderbolt. For this reason, I cannot connect the monitor through my current hp 1pm64aa dock. If I buy an HP USB-C Dock G4, will I be able to turn on my laptop without thunderbolt by clicking on the button on the workstation, or will it be like in the case of the monitor?
Thanks in advance for the answer!

Its specs     https://www.hp.com/emea_africa-en/products/laptops/product-details/product-specifications/2101665018

It ONLY has 1 hopeless USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate (supports data transfer only and does not support charging or external monitors)  port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to

  • Charge your machine,
  • Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter

In short: Your machine is NOT compatible with the HP dock or any USB-C docks.

If you wish to connect 2 external monitors, you can use

  • Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
  • Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as

                                     USB to HDMI Adapter

Other option (USB-A dock) such as :   https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05357751

Regards.
