@DavidAlvarez17, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
The issue you're describing—where your HP Victus laptop does not turn on, the LED near the charger port blinks three times, and the charging indicator does not light up—suggests a potential power or motherboard issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
Perform a Hard Reset
- Disconnect the charger from the laptop.
- Remove any external devices (USB drives, peripherals, etc.).
- Press and hold the power button for 30–60 seconds to drain residual power.
- Reconnect the charger and try turning on the laptop.
Check for Charger and Battery Issues
- Test with another compatible HP charger (if available) to rule out a faulty adapter.
- Inspect the charging port for dust, debris, or physical damage.
- If you can remove the battery, try turning on the laptop with just the charger plugged in (for models with removable batteries).
Identify the Blink Code (3 Blinks)
On HP laptops, a blinking power LED often indicates a hardware failure.
- 3 blinks usually point to a battery or power issue.
- If the battery is removable, try turning on the laptop without it.
- If the battery is non-removable, it could be a motherboard or power circuit issue.
Perform a BIOS Reset
- Turn off the laptop and disconnect all power sources.
- Press and hold Windows + B, then press and hold the Power button for 2-3 seconds.
- Release all buttons and wait. If the BIOS recovery screen appears, follow the on-screen instructions.
Let me know how it goes!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
