(This thread also fits into many board categories so I just chose one. Also, I posted a thread like this earlier but it seemed to have disappeared from the HP website.)
I just recently bought a new laptop last week, and HP Envy x360 15m-cp0xxx, and problems seem to have risen already. First problem I noticed was when I left my laptop plugged in overnight with the lid closed, no programs or software, not even the fan was running. I picked it up the next day to use it only when it felt warm to the touch when hasn't been used for at least 8 hours (fan still wasn't running). I then opened my laptop and I started to load certain webpages and a game, and my laptop seemed to be having internet issues, the internet wasn't connecting, then when it finally connected, it wouldn't load the webpages and the game (it's an online game). This was the first time it happened though and it didn't happen for a while after so I thought nothing of it. Then, yesterday I picked it up again, and it was the same scenario as last with the physical laptop, although now when I opened the lid, my screen was set to 1024x768p in 4:3 when my laptop is capable of full 1080p in 16:9 (Note that I have never messed with any drivers, any software, or any hardware, this laptop is brand new). The internet seemed to not be working again as now whenever I tried to load the same webpages and the same game, I was getting 502 Bad Gateway errors for both the webpages and the game. it seemed to recover after a few restarts after, but I then noticed another problem, when I leave my computer sleeping with the lid closed, it shuts down in a matter of minutes. I checked my power plan settings and saw that hibernation was set to never on both battery and plugged in. I'm just really confused now because I shouldn't be having any problems with a laptop this new. Any help and solution would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks!

Hi,
Even if it is brand new, it most likely is not up to date.
Take a look at this page I created and completely update the new PC and see if the problems persist.

So I followed all of the instructions on the page you provided, updated it to the latest version of Windows 10, and ran hp support assistant. When I ran support assistant though, it said only 2 of the drivers needed to be updated which was a Bluetooth driver and I believe and wireless network driver too. I restarted the computer, and I left the laptop alone for a bit, and thankfully this time it didn't shut down. But I have no idea if the issue of it still being warm when not being used and internet not working is solved yet since that happens randomly. My only concern is my return window ends on Sunday and I have no idea of knowing if any of the issues are fixed or are gonna return before the window closes because if the issues aren't fixed, I could exchange or look into a different laptop or model. Thanks for the help!

Well, it most likely will work well and the wifi (internet) problem has affected many notebooks with certain modules, and not only HP. Anyway, if anything goes wrong, you will still have the warranty and can get anything fixed under warranty.
It is a really nice PC and offers many upgrade possibilities in the future.
Hope it helps,
David
