So I just bought this laptop it runs okay on other games, but in GTA5 it lags a lot I mean a lot. It  hardly reaches 30 fps. Also windows is up to-date, and all drivers are update, except BIOS. I have game mode enable. I use balanced performance because in high performance the temperature goes to 98 Degrees and the game uses both the GPU's :- Intel UHD and Nvidia GTX 1650. What do I do now?  My GTX 1650 is being used 45%, The Intel UHD is being 20% and The CPU is being used 70%. What do I do now

@wubble1108  what is your laptop model?

Press Control/Alt/S for the information menu in windows
Or
Go to the Start menu and scroll to H/HP Help and Support/HP Support Assistant.
Open the program and click on your computer in the list.
The 7 digit Product Number will be listed in both those places.

Where are you seeing the percentage of gpu usage? Task manager?

If you open the NVIDIA control panel, you can change the GPU usage to only use the 1650. Does that work?

I use MSI afterburner for monitoring temperatures, and my laptop model is HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop - 16-a0022tx and I tried that in NVIDIA control panel and nothing changed  and the product number is 183L1PA#ACJ.

Edit your post and remove the serial number please. Thanks.

First thing I would do is uninstall MSI afterburner, you don't need that on a laptop and it might be causing issues.

You have the Game Hub installed right? That will tell you the temps of cpu/gpu.

I doubt its using both GPU's when gaming. That might be a false read on MSI?

Yes Full Performance Mode will make the temps go up as its not being throttled back in any way. What does the Game Hub say your temps are when gaming?

HP Recommended

The game hub tell temperature as 78 on CPU and 69 on GPU on balanced performance and when in high performance mode it shows 89 on CPU and 77 on GPU.

That is about average for those laptops when gaming. They dont cool as much as a desktop does.

What about fps why are they so low? What can I do to improve them.

Is it only GTA-5 correct? Ive heard this very complaint with that game on other machines like the Omen laptops also. I have not heard the solution about that game so far.

Ok Thank you for helping me so far..
