HP 14s-fq0000 Laptop PC (9VN14AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Laptop Model 14-fq0013dx   at startup get error message "System Fan (90B)"  "The system has detectedthat a cooling fan is not operating properly"  The warranty expired May 2023.  I have tried hard restart multiple times.  Opened up computer and disconnected the battery as another form of hard restart.  I can use the laptop for about 5 minutes before it shuts down (I assume for overheating protection.)

I could try to replace the fan, but there seems to be a huge number of fans for sale but I cannot determine a reasonable priced replacement fan.  The HP replacement fan is around $69 and I really do not consider this laptop to be worth investing that amount of money when I could be a different type of fan activation problem.

If someone knows of the part number and source for the correct fan replacement for this laptop that is less than $20 I would appreciate it.  Otherwise.........

My question is whether this computer is worth taking in for repair or should it just be scrapped?
