Should I buy the HP Stream 14 for $160 or buy a new battery for my Asus Vivobook for around $40-$50? I’ve seen on some of the reviews on Amazon and they say the batteries don’t last very long or don’t charge past 58%. I’m just wondering what I should do

Buy the battery for the laptop.
Make sure that the battery is delivered with a one year warranty.
"they say the batteries don’t last very long or don’t charge past 58%"
Don't believe "what people say" or "todo el mundo dice".
Every laptop is not the same. One that won't charge past 58% has its own issues or has a battery that is at the end of its service life.
The service life for a Lithium Ion laptop battery is supposed to be 1000 cycles, but not many people get past 300-500 cycles. That is reality.
