HP ENVY x360 13.3 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 13-bf0000 (552D7AV)

Hi, I have bought my Laptop HP Envy X360 13.3 inch 2-in-1 Laptop in the end of 2022, I had no issue with my Laptop. Suddenly, my cursor was malfunctioning like minimizing, maximizing, clicking near by spaces etc.. I have started using my external mouse and trying to fix it by updating the drivers, checking for any updates, settings etc.. nothing worked out and suddenly The complete mouse pad stopped working. Atleast left, right buttons was working earlier but now it's completely stopped working, I have tried every fix on the web nothing worked. What could be the reason? and How would i fix it?

Any support would be appreciated!!

@SireeshaC, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Check Touchpad Settings in Windows:

Go to SettingsDevicesTouchpad.

Ensure that the touchpad is enabled.

If you see any extra settings for sensitivity, gestures, or tapping, try adjusting them.

If you don’t see the touchpad options, it’s likely a driver or hardware issue.

Reinstall the Touchpad Drivers:

Go to Device Manager (Right-click Start and choose it).

Expand Mice and other pointing devices, then find your touchpad (it might be listed as something like "Synaptics" or "Windows Precision").

Right-click the touchpad device and choose Uninstall device.

Restart the laptop and Windows should automatically reinstall the correct drivers.

Alternatively, go to the HP Support website and download the latest touchpad driver specifically for your HP Envy x360 model. Install it manually.

Check for BIOS Update:

Sometimes an outdated BIOS version can cause issues with hardware, including the touchpad.

Visit HP’s support page for your laptop model and check if there’s a new BIOS version available.

Be careful while updating the BIOS—make sure your laptop has a full charge and follow HP’s instructions carefully.

Disable/Enable Touchpad in BIOS:

Reboot your laptop and press the ESC or F10 key repeatedly to enter the BIOS/UEFI settings.

Look for touchpad-related settings in the Advanced tab or Device Configuration.

Make sure the touchpad is enabled. If it’s already enabled, try disabling it, saving the changes, and then re-enabling it.

Save and exit the BIOS and reboot your system.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
