Hello, I have a HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-dk0xxx and I was wondering what motherboard I would need to replace my current one. I really want to upgrade the CPU and GPU  but I am not sure on what the procedure is.

Hi:

It will probably cost you more to install a better motherboard in your notebook than buying a new one that comes with better everything.

Chapter 3 has the list of supported motherboards, and fan/heatsink combinations.

Make sure you also buy the correct fan/heat sink assembly for whatever GPU you are upgrading to.

Good luck finding the parts you need.
