Laptop battery counterfeit error?!

I did an update recently and ever since, every time I start up i have a counterfeit battery warning come up. I am not tech savvy in the slightest and wouldn't even know how to access the battery to change it. Nothing has been changed on my laptop since I've had it so i don't understand why it's suddenly coming up with this warning. Does anyone have any advice?

  1. Open Device Manager (Press Windows + X > select Device Manager).
  2. Expand the Batteries section.
  3. Right-click on Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery and select Uninstall device.
  4. Restart your laptop, and Windows will automatically reinstall the driver.

6. Check for Battery Placement and Connections

• If the battery is not seated correctly, it could cause detection issues. Ensure that the battery is securely connected to the laptop.

7. Battery Replacement

• If your battery is indeed counterfeit or non-functional, you may need to replace it with a new, genuine HP battery. You can order a replacement directly from HP or a verified retailer.
