Hi,
You can expect a large drop in capacity after 2 years of life. Already much sooner there will be a noticeable decrease in the length of time it will stay on. It also deends what you are doing on the computer and power settings.
I, usually expect to replace the batteries in my notebooks every two years if I carry them around with me because I do not really think about the battery too much and try to buy quality compatible batteries. Naturally with batteries now built into the computer they are more complicated to replace.
