My laptop battery isn't getting charged. It's working only when it is connected to the adapter. When I tested using 'UEFI  Hardware Diagnostic tests', it is asking me to replace the battery. It is saying that the battery's fuse is blown. Please refer to the attached pictures for the failure ID and details.

Further I checked the adapter using the same 'UEFI  Hardware Diagnostic tests' and the result came as ok.

My question is, will everything be ok if I replace the battery or is there some other hardware issue which is causing this and it will damage the replaced new battery also, like blowing the fuse again.

Please advise.

Hi @dmanoj

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Have a great day!
