Hi, I'm looking for a laptop battery for my HP Notebook - 15-da0038na. Can someone direct me to the appropriate place please?

Hey Con,

if you have tools open the lid of ur laptop.

The spare number is on the battery next to the logo of hp.

If you dont have tools or dont want to open the laptop, search for your laptop manual (hp could detect ur model and listing the options like drivers and also the manual. In each manual should be a chapter where the appropiate spare numbers for each laptop hardware item r listed.

Hi Jogi.  Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I don't have tools.  Can the battery type not be determined from the hp make and model below?

Thank you NonSequitur777.  Eventually made contact with a hp agent who quoted me almost €300 for a  new battery. I pointed out that I could buy a new Notebook for an extra €100 and they agreed.  Does anybody at hp realise how much damage they are doing to the environment by the scrappage of perfectly good products all in the aid of profit?  Clearly they don't care about the damage they are doing to the environment or about loyalty to their customers.  This is my third hp Notebook.  I will not be buying hp again.

Becoming responsible stewards of our natural resources is a process of incremental progress, and in a first and foremost for-profit environment, a struggle.

Yet, HP Inc. has made great strides in this regard. I personally am heartened seeing a number of forward-looking, progressive Managers who got their hearts in the right place.  Not all -there are those who care more about their ca$h bonuses and other financial compensations than the environment.  But that is the case across the Board -pun intended.

We all learn.
