I did a quick look at the Walmart site for this laptop and it has pretty good ratings -- as over 80% of the folks recommend it, some even praising its fast performance. So, one possibility is that you got a bad one and should look into taking it back and swapping it for another.
A second possibility is that any new laptop is going to be tied up automatically doing Windows Updates just after you go online for the first time. Those tie up the PC downloading and installing updates, making it really slow for a while. But that should clear up the next day and should not keep happening day after day. IF it does, again, I would look into returning it for a different one.
