Hi @VisheaHughes95

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for reaching out — I’m really sorry to hear that the camera on your HP laptop hasn’t worked since you received it. Given that the issue has been present from the beginning and your device is still under warranty, you absolutely have the right to request a resolution without delay.

Here's What You Can Do Right Now:

1. Confirm the Camera Issue

Before proceeding with a warranty claim, please check the following:

Open the Camera app – does it show “No camera found” or a black screen?

Open Device Manager:

Look under Cameras, Imaging Devices, or Universal Serial Bus Controllers

If no camera is listed, or if you see Unknown Device or a yellow warning icon, the camera may not be detected by the system

If the camera is truly not working or not detected at all, this supports your claim that the unit was shipped with a faulty or disconnected camera module.

2. Contact HP Phone Support for Warranty Repair

I'm sending you a private message to guide you on the next steps.

To access it, click the private message icon in the upper-right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your name.

If this resolves your issue, kindly mark this post as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" if it was helpful.

Take care and have a great day!

Regards,
