Hi
Recently i bought a caddy and ssd for my laptop, i put ssd in caddy and put caddy in dvd bay but after turning laptop on i receive an error: "HP repair ..." and then "couldn't repair". without caddy everything is normal.
i tested caddy+ssd on another laptop (acer) and everything was good, so i am sure caddy and ssd are not damaged or broken.
so what i should do ? i need some changes in bios ? or i should put hdd on caddy and ssd in main bay ?

Hi! @MA88, Welcome back to HP support community.
I understand the SSD you replaced is not getting detected on the PC.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?
Are you using an HP genuine part on the PC?
Are you trying to boot from the SSD?
Excellent description and a great diagnosis done. It is greatly appreciated.
Since the part you have replaced has not been tested or tried from HP. I would recommend you to use HP genuine parts on the PC.

Hi! @MA88, thanks for your prompt response and time.
I appreciate your efforts for writing back to us.
As you still have issues after trying out the steps.
The part you have replaced is a not an HP genuine part. And as the part is not tested or tried on our HP product.
I recommend you to replace the hard drive suggested in my previous post.
Also, you can take your laptop to any HP authorized service center and get the laptop repaired.
Have a blessed day ahead!
Take Care! 🙂
