HP Recommended

Laptop case is braking. It's coming apart at the hinges. This is the third HP laptop I've purchased and ALL of them did this. I hardly ever close it (it sits on a desk open all the time), so this should not be happening. What is going on? And sorry, but I don't know much about computers...or operating Systems...or whatever. It's a 17", I think. And it says intel CORE i5 10th GEN on it. How do I fix this? And since it seems to be an issue with HP laptops, I feel like HP ought to offer a FREE fix!
