Similarly to issues reported and resolved directly by HP in this forum:https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Left-Hinge-Broken-Corner-of-La...
I have a crack in my laptop casing that originates directly on the right corner of the DVD drive and extends all the way to the speakers on the casing itself. When I open and close my laptop the hinge that connects the upper half of the laptop (including monitor) does seem to come out quite frequently. Ultimately this casing will crack to the point that the monitor will unhinge from the laptop. I have carefully taken care of this laptop and it is just used in my office and in the living room so it is not from extreme conditions or lack of care. I also did have a similar issue on my previous HP laptop. I have been a lifelong HP client but this is very frustrating. Is there a way you can directly fix this issue?

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
I understand your HP notebook hinge assembly is separating from the unit, in order to fix this issue your computer needs to be repaired. As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now. I would request you to reach out to our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to check the available service options in order to diagnose the computer physically.
HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
