Common problems for Battery

My laptop (HP victus 16) that I have had for about a year and have had no issue has recently been causing the power to trip when I try to charge it. I have tried multiple different outlets in different rooms and the same thing happens. The charger is 200W which I have heard is on the high side, could that be the problem? If so why is it only happening now after a year of regularly charging it? Any help at all is appreciated. Thanks.

FYI I use the 3 pin British style plug if that changes anything.

Charger specifications

Input 100v-240v 2.9A 50-60Hz

Output 19.5v 10.3A 200.0W
