HP Pavilion g7-2294nr Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a g7-2294NR laptop that keeps crashing when I unplug the charger. It only started doing this today. Whenever I unplug the charger from the laptop the screen goes dim and it bluescreens. It's almost like the battery isn't taking over but it is charging. It's an aftermarket siker battery from amazon I got 5 years ago and it doesn't seem to exist anymore. I ran the battery test in the uefi test environment and it passed. Should I try a new battery?

The only suggestion I can offer would be to install the W10 64-bit AMD chipset driver from the AMD website at the link below:

First driver listed under the W10 64 bit section:

AMD Chipset Drivers - Revision Number 18.10.0830

870 Drivers

I just tried that and it still does the same thing

I will say I just noticed this start happening after my pc crashed and I had to reset it.

Also just discovered that if I uninstall the ac adapter and battery driver in device manager then I can unplug my charger and my laptop stays on. but if I restart the driver reinstalls itself and my laptop crashes again.
