Hi,
My ENVY laptop detachable keyboard stopped working since yesterday night suddenly , there was no indication of any charge when I am toggling the on/off switch. I have put the laptop for charging for few hours by keeping the keyboard attached to same , but still keyboard is not charging or giving any indication of battery level.
Tks.

That would indicate that the keyboard battery has failed.

Can the battery be replaced.
Yes. I can't provide any specific information since you have not identified your notebook completely enough for me to see what the hardware configuration is.
What is the product number of your x2? Look at the bottom of the notebook amongst the tiny letters for ProdID. Post it here. ProdID is the same as the product number.

Have you tried pairing the keyboard and PC? See the document at the link below.

Unfortunately, the Maintenence& Service guide and the HP PartSurfer do not list the keyboard battery as a separate part from the keyboard.
I would take the keyboard apart to get the model and part number from the installed inoperable battery.
The owners who have reported that their keyboards were no longer working have purchased replacement keyboards,
complete with internal battery.
That may be your best, but not the least expensive option. The keyboards with battery are listed at Amazon.com. They are quite pricey, starting at @ $128.00 USD.
