Microsoft Windows 11

Hello.

I connected a monitor to my Pavilion 14 cd000 laptop and it's shouted down immediately . Since that I can't turn it on.  When I connect it to the charger, the charge light turns on, and somthing when I trying to turn on the power light turns on but nothing works.

I have been using this monitor long time,  and today before it's happened, the monitor screen color was red,  so I disconnect it and reconnect.

Hope oi can help me.  Thanks,  Amit.

Hello @Ami3466

Sorry to hear that you are having problems ... I would like to help you.

HDMI is current-conducting, so when connecting the HDMI cable to 2 devices (notebook <-> TV/monitor), at least 1 device should be completely switched off, otherwise a short circuit can occur in the worst case...

(1Disconnect charger

(2Press and hold <power> button for 30 seconds

(3Connect charger

(4) Power on notebook. What happens ?

(5) Please report your results

Thank you for your replay,

it turned a power light, but nothing happening, I left it like that about an hour and the laptop became very hot.

Presumably as you said it sounds like a short cut, what does it mean in terms of repairing?

Hello @Ami3466

It is too expensive to fix it. As a workaround, please use an adapter:

USB to HDMI Adapter for Monitors, hdmi to USB Adapter,1080P Compatible with Windows XP/7/8/10/11

Kind regards
