Hi there,

Could I get some help? I have had an HP 15s fqxxx laptop for about 5 years now, and my battery has been draining in under 30 minutes. It goes from 100% to 24% quickly, even though I have my settings on dark mode, low brightness, and no keypad lighting. Can it be fixed, or must I get a new computer?

At the five year mark, you definitely need to replace the battery with a new one.

That is the fix you need to resolve the issue.

Laptop batteries do not last forever.

A laptop battery's current storage capacity begins to diminish starting at day one.
