HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec1000 Laptop PC (9EK35AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

The laptop freezes or crashes every time when lifted, moved or touched slightly. N.B - I've resided the RAM slot and I thought that might be the problem. The battery was also disconnected and re-connected. I performed a hard reset as well. Nothing worked. Could that be a problem with the motherboard or is it something to do with the ram, a loose cable connection or a faulty slot?

Hi @Sylosis1993,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Pavilion Gaming 15-Ec1000 Laptop PC . Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

To assist better:

  • Was there any physical damage to the unit?
  • Does the PC freeze or crash while using any particular game or application?
  • Was there any update prior to the issue?

While you respond to that please try the below steps:

Update the BIOS, & Chipset drivers:

  • Here's the link to download and install the above updates: Click here

Update Windows:

  • Select Start  > Settings  > Update & Security  > Windows Update , and then select Check for updates. If updates are available, install them.

If the issue still persists, then I would recommend you to perform Hardware diagnostics using HP Support Assistant.

If everything says pass. then you may try to re-install a fresh Operating system using HP Cloud Recovery:  HP Consumer PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool (Windows 10, 7)

NOTE: Please make sure you take a backup of all your data before re-installing the OS.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
