HP Pavilion - 14-ce3606sa

I charge my laptop over night and mostly keep the charger when I use it on the night, however when I use it in the day and take the charger off, my laptop will turn on and let me log on then turn off again. I have to put my charger  in and when it comes in it says my laptop as 0% despite having 100% when it first comes on.

I have no idea what's going on and would like some help.

Your method of power use appears to have caused problems either with the battery or the power circuit.

I suggest that you open the HP Support Assistant and  run the battery test with the power adapter connected.

You can also use the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI utility.

From an off state with the power adapter connected:

Press the power button and then immediately tap the F2 key to invoke the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics utility.

In the dialogue window that appears click on Component tests and at the next screen click on long battery test.

Let us know the result of the test in your next reply.

"however when I use it in the day and take the charger off, my laptop will turn on and let me log on then turn off again"

That is usually an indicator of battery problems.
