Hello,
I have a "HP Spectre x360 - 13t-ap000 CTO" 13.3 inch convertible, it is getting heated frequently during charging. I'm using a 65W power adapter which came with the laptop. I had to use a floor mount fan always to use the laptop.
I also took to a nearby service center and they did not find any dust inside the laptop.
Please assist.
Thank you, Anand

@anandnathaniel, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Update BIOS & Drivers
Go to HP Spectre x360 - 13t-ap000 CTO Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support
Update:
BIOS
Chipset
Graphics (Intel)
Thermal framework or power management tools
Battery Charging Limit
HP models let you limit battery charging to 80% to reduce heat. Look for this in the BIOS.
Check Background Usage
Open Task Manager and look for CPU usage while charging.
Disable or uninstall apps that spike CPU usage.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
