Hi - I'm hoping someone in the community can help me as I have had no luck contacting HP via website or phone to ask a simple question.
I have an HP NotebooK HD 14-ax020wm Windows 10, RAM Memory 4GB, emmc 32 GB storage, purchased in 2018. Unbeknownst to me when I made the purchase, this notebook only has a 32 GB chip and no hard drive and so it hasn't updated in years because there is no storage space, even after doing all the troubleshooting and deleting files, it doesn't have space to update Microsoft 365 or anything else for that matter. Because of this I'm unable to access my outlook and not able to update anything. Microsoft suggested that I get an external SSD so my notebook can update but I have no idea what kind to get and so far it's been impossible to contact HP to get the information. Can anyone suggest an SSD with the specs that would be appropriate for my notebook so I can purchase the correct kind? Any assistance appreciated! Thank you.

I don't know why Microsoft forced hardware vendors to install ONLY 32GB eMMC to machines and did not offer how to update/upgrade. You probably have to use Office 365 online. Please ask Microsoft how to install Office 365 on external SSD for it to work.
Regards.

Hi Banhien, thanks for your reply. The issue is when I purchased the notebook in 2018, I didn't realize it had so little storage space, which was basically filled up with the initial download. See screen shot below. Laptop is set to automatically free up space, and I've also manually deleted files but there's never enough space to update Windows 10 v20H2. When I called HP back in 2018, they told me that I needed an external hard drive for more storage. When I contacted Microsoft last week, they said that I needed an SSD and create a partition. I did some search on-line and it looks like I need a docking station and the SSD to start. So my question is is there a particular SSD that I should purchase for my particular laptop? I had no luck contacting HP so I'm thinking of just bringing my laptop over to Best Buy and take it from there. Thanks!
