Hi @Hannah160906,

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Pavilion x360 is giving small electrical shocks when in contact with bare skin. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Check the power outlet and charger
Try a different wall outlet to rule out grounding issues.
If possible, test using another compatible HP charger.

Inspect the charger and cable for damage
Look for frayed wires, bent connectors, or exposed metal.
A damaged adapter can leak small currents to the chassis.

Test the laptop on battery-only
Disconnect the charger and use the laptop for a few minutes.
If the sensation stops, the issue is likely with the charger or outlet ground.

Remove other connected peripherals
Unplug accessories like USB drives, hubs, or external monitors.
Sometimes poorly grounded peripherals can cause a “tingling” effect.

Check for humidity or static buildup
Light tingling can occur in dry or highly humid environments.
Wipe the chassis with a dry cloth and test again.

Try using a three-pin grounded socket
Ensure the outlet you’re using has proper grounding.
Avoid two-pin or ungrounded extensions.

Make sure no metal protective skins or third-party cases are attached
Metal covers can intensify static sensations.
Remove them temporarily to compare.

Perform a full shutdown and power reset
Shut down the laptop → unplug the charger → hold the power button for 15 seconds.
Reconnect and check again.I hope this helps.
