Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-e0000 (2V8Z8AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

My new Victus Laptop makes noise (like high pitch continous metal scratching noise) for 2-3 seconds whenever I turn it on from shutdown or restart or sleep. The noise comes from the front left and right corner, where the trackpad is located. From the gap as shown in the image, from both the corners.

I dont know if its the battery or something else, but the noise doesn't sound good. Is there any way I could fix it.

Updating the BIOS is recommended as standard maintenance of the computer. It can also help resolve the following issues:

    • An available BIOS update resolves a specific issue or improves computer performance.
    • The current BIOS does not support a hardware component or a Windows upgrade.
    • HP Support recommends installing a specific BIOS update.

Hello @Dexter00

You could disassemble the notebook to check the fan, but I would call in the warranty. The fan might be physically defective and need to be replaced.
