Pavilion

My Pavilion HP laptop is about 1.5 years old, so out of the standard 1 year warranty. I woke up to the smell of burning and metal melting. My laptop is completely melted through from the bottom of the base, up through the keys, and up through the screen which is now half melted/half shattered. The table it was sitting on is completely destroyed (burned with parts of the laptop melted to it.) I have small children in the home and can just imagine that could have gone up in flames in the night with us asleep at home upstairs. I purchased at Costco - I would like to know if HP or Costco would be the ones to give me my money back. I do not want another HP, no replacement. I don't trust these now...not with my kids in the home. I can't get through past the virtual agent to speak to a real employee. Any suggestions? This was also the only laptop in the home for me to run my business and my oldest child to do his virtual schoolwork on, so it's very debilitating to our family right now.
