Hello, can anybody help? I have just purchased a new Laptop a Pavilion 17-cd1013na and I can't find the maximum amount of memory that can be upgraded to. At the moment it has 8GB 2x4 Micron 3200mhz and I would like to add the maximum that can be added. But I can't find the info anywhere, Internet or HP Support Assistant I have tried Crucial's website with no luck. Can someone help please? Thank you

No, buy 3200 MHz memory to match what you have in there now.

 

Remember...the manual covers the models with the older processors, which use slower speed memory.

Hi:

 

Below is the link to the manuals page for your notebook's model series.

Chapter 1 of the maintenance and service guide has the memory upgrade info.

 

The manual has the info for the models with the older processors, and states that the max is 2 x 16 GB of memory.

Hi Paul,

thanks for the reply, much appreciated. I see it says DDR4 2666, my existing memory is 2x8GB DDR4 3200mhz does this mean I have to change to DDR4 2666mhz instead of DDR4 3200mhz? my model has an i7 processor.
