Hello, can anybody help? I have just purchased a new Laptop a Pavilion 17-cd1013na and I can't find the maximum amount of memory that can be upgraded to. At the moment it has 8GB 2x4 Micron 3200mhz and I would like to add the maximum that can be added. But I can't find the info anywhere, Internet or HP Support Assistant I have tried Crucial's website with no luck. Can someone help please? Thank you

Hi:
Below is the link to the manuals page for your notebook's model series.
https://support.hp.com/id-en/product/hp-pavilion-gaming-17-cd1000-laptop-pc-series/32885571/manuals
Chapter 1 of the maintenance and service guide has the memory upgrade info.
The manual has the info for the models with the older processors, and states that the max is 2 x 16 GB of memory.

Hi Paul,
thanks for the reply, much appreciated. I see it says DDR4 2666, my existing memory is 2x8GB DDR4 3200mhz does this mean I have to change to DDR4 2666mhz instead of DDR4 3200mhz? my model has an i7 processor.
Thanks Jim
