i am using HP Notebook 15 and running Win 10 on it,,,
My laptop only charges while its on sleep/off. It started happening about 3 days ago... In sleep/off it will display an orange light indicating that it is charging. But as soon as i open the lid/press the power button it changes to white and it says "_%available (plugged in, not charging). I tried replacing genuine battery and charger already... I uninstall and reinstall the power drivers as well but still cannot find root cause.. Need help
Thanks

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
- Did you make any changes on the settings of your PC prior to the issue?
- When was the last time it worked fine?
- Does the notebook shut down immediately (right after you unplug the charger)?
- Do you get any error message on your notebook (Such as Plugged in, not charging, etc.)?
While you respond to that, let's try these steps:
- 1. Go to Start, search for Device Manager, and open this result.
- 2. Expand batteries.
- 3. Right-click on the ACPI option (usually the 2nd option) and select delete or uninstall. Follow the prompts.
- 4. Shut down the computer.
- 5. Disconnect the charger.
- 6. Remove the battery.
- 7. Hold down the power button for 1 minute.
- 8. Insert the battery only.
- 9. Attempt to turn the battery on.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
