Hi @Priy-ansu_2004,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I’m sorry to hear your HP laptop isn’t turning on. I know how unsettling it can feel, especially when your work depends on it. Let’s walk through this together, step by step

Here's what you can try first:

1. Perform a Hard Reset (Power Drain)

This clears residual electrical charge and can often revive a non-responsive laptop.

  • Turn off the laptop completely.
  • Unplug the AC adapter and remove any connected accessories (USB drives, printers, etc.).
  • Press and hold the power button for 15–20 seconds.
  • Reconnect only the AC adapter (if removable, leave the battery disconnected), and then try turning it on.

2. Check the Power Source

  • Make sure the power outlet is working by plugging in another device.
  • Try a different HP-compatible charger if available.
  • Look for any LED indicators near the charging port, are they blinking or off?

3. Inspect the Display

Sometimes the laptop is on, but the screen isn’t showing anything.

  • Try connecting to an external monitor to check if the issue is with the display.
  • Look for Caps Lock or Num Lock lights blinking in a pattern. This can indicate a hardware error.

4. Use the Emergency Reset Pin (if available)

Some HP laptops have a tiny reset hole (usually on the bottom or side).

  • Use a paperclip to gently press it for 5 seconds, then try powering on again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
