Hey,

 

my laptop started to make some noise couple hours ago. I took the charger off and laptop instantly shut down. After that the laptop hasn't worked without the AC charger on. I've done HP Support Assistant battery check couple of times and the result has always been "Primary battery: normal" and it is charged to 99%. Temperature of the battery has varied from 30 degrees celsius to 32 degrees celsius which makes me think that the test works. Even though the battery check says that battery is normal the laptop still won't work without being connected to the charger. I've attached a picture of the battery check if that gives you some information that I failed to provide. I have also updated BIOS but it didn't do anything. What should I do?

tldr: laptop won't turn on or stay on without the charger, battery check tells me the battery still works
