I have a HP Spectre x360 that I bought new July 2022.  When I try plugging in charger in both of the usb-c ports in my laptop, the laptop does not charge. But, when I try connecting a usb-c port (this only works for one of the ports), and connecting the charger into the hub, the laptop charges. The charger that I'm using is the one that came with the laptop. 

 

Another thing that might be related is that over winter break, I was using a off-brand laptop charger. This charger worked before, but started have issues over the break. I had to plug in and out for a few times to get it to work.

 

So, I'm not sure if there is a problem with my laptop's usb-c ports or any software/battery related issues. I'm thinking that it only works with the hub because it is new, hence has a fresher plug and that my charger plug and ports are each somewhat damaged. But, at the same time, it doesn't make sense for both of the ports to stop working.
