HP envy 360x 15

Hi, I would like help with my HP envy 360x laptop, for a while it has only been working while charging, online I saw that you need to buy a new battery to resolve this, today I put in a new battery and it still continued to only work when plugged in. I then ran a battery diagnostic and it said " blown fuse battery". Can someone please help, I would just like to use my laptop without having to charge it.

Thank you.

@Rad23,

I reviewed your post and I understand that the computer turns off when you disconnect the charger.

  • What is the operating system you are using?
  • What is the product number for your computer?

While you answer that, I recommend you update the BIOS from the below link and check if it helps.

If you continue facing the issue, then reinstalled Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery under device manager.

Here is how you do it.

Step 1: Click the Windows “Start” button and right-click “Computer.”

Step 2: Click “Manage,” then “Device Manager.”

Step 3: Click the “Batteries” section. A list of devices will appear.

Step 4: Right-click the “Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery” device and click “Uninstall.”

Step 5: Click the “Action” menu item and “Scan for Hardware Changes” to reinstall the driver.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Hi,

I have already tried the device manager and it does not work. My product number is 1TT64EA and the operating system is Windows 10 (64 bit).

Thank you.

Where did you buy the new battery? The diagnostic is saying its a bad battery.

Hi,

The website is called battery buy, this is the link for the website.

Thank you

Much more likely to be the battery than the laptop when you buy "compatible". Nothing really wrong with that but the percent that are bad on delivery is a little higher. They are generally good about replacing batteries.

Hi,

So what does that mean, that I need to get another battery?

Thank you

I think you need to contact the seller of the battery yes. HP did not make or sell you that battery.
