I recently bought this laptop 2nd hand. I heard the fans spinning too much so I installed coretemp and certainly the CPUs are getting hot, reaching 100C. This happens when in normal use, not gaming or 3d nothing but only when plugged in. Any ideas?

Your laptop hitting 100°C only when plugged in suggests a power management or cooling issue. First, **adjust your power plan** to "Balanced" or reduce the maximum processor state when on AC power, as laptops often run hotter when plugged in. Next, **thoroughly clean the cooling vents and fans** with compressed air, as dust is a common cause of overheating in second-hand machines. Also, check for any background processes consuming high CPU in Task Manager and ensure your **drivers and BIOS are up to date**. If these don't help, consider reapplying the thermal paste (an advanced step).
