OMEN Laptop - 15-ek0018tx
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi, I am using my hp omen laptop for a while but for a few months its overheating without any cpu usage at all. The cpu temp is 80 or 90 sometimes and gpu temp is ~65 with barely any cpu utilization and gpu not being used at all. The laptop is pretty well ventilated and the fans are not at all clogged. This happens only when i'm on windows 11 as when I switch to ubuntu (dualboot) the temps are normal. I've even tried reinstalling windows just in case it is infected with malware but it didnt help 😞

Any help will be appreciated

Hello @saumitra00

You cannot compare a small and fast linux os with windows ( including bloatware ).

(1) Run process explorer

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/process-explorer

(2) Sort by CPU (max)

(3) Send me screenshots

Please report your results.
