Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop panel doesn't turn on anymore. I removed the bezel and I think it's the connector, since first it showed glitches on  the screen, that got worse if i touched the left side down of the bezel. I'd like to know what components i should buy and if i can get somehow the manual to repair it. English is fine, but in italian would be better, if there is one.

Thanks in advance.

With "panel" I mean the display.

When i try to open the service manual, it says that an error occured. Also, i would like to try to change the connector only, first. Since it is cheaper.

Try the corrected link in my post above. It is possible the cable is bad but less than 10% possibility that is the problem. Almost always the screen panel. You also want to rule out a video card issue by seeing how it puts out to an external display.

Good luck.

Since i have to buy the new display i wanted to switch it to an ips. You previously told me that this one would work: http://www.ebay.com/itm/15-6-LED-LCD-Screen-Display-For-DELL-inspiron-15-7566-1745-FHD-IPS-CIE1931-7... but it is not available anymore.

Since i am in need to fix this problem as fast as possible, i searched for the panel in other sites and found this one that would arrive in some weeks:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-Inspiron-15-7567-LED-LCD-Screen-for-15-6-FHD-IPS-Gaming-Laptop-Display/...

Is it the same one? Will it work?

Also: i noticed that if i use a flash light onto the screen, it looks like the video is there, but with no backlit. It glitches also.

When it used to turn on the glitch became very bad when I touched the connector area. So you think it is better if i replace the enitre panel? Ignoring the possibility that it could be the connector?

The ips panel you ask about is a lower right center 30-pin connector and I can't find the specs on the HP replacement part. From the eBay picture it looks like the same connection. I would pull the screen that is in it and look at the connector and be sure it is a 30-pin. If so the ips you ask about will work.

HP Recommended

i saw that the monitor has not a 30 pin connector.

HP Recommended

Then it is likely a 40 pin. Most FHD screens are 40 pin

So, are there any 40 pin IPS displays compatible with my pc that i can find?
