Laptop power issue

I have used my laptop for around 16 months.Recently whenever i charge my laptop it stops charging even when the battery is not full and  it starts charging again after sometime.

The laptop also shuts down when the battery is in the range of 30% to 50%.

I ran the HP battery check it showed that the battery was weak but after a couple of days when i ran the test again it showed that the battery is in good condition.

Just an additional information: i also use ubuntu 19.10 as dual boot and face the issue whenever i use either OS

The fact that you get similar results in either Linux or Windows tends to point toward a hardware issue with the battery itself. Can you post the full advanced diagnostic results, for us?

I also ran the system extensive test which passed successfully .(i forgot to take a picture of it)

The battery has been used a lot; it has almost 500 cycles and is down to 1758 mah of charge capacity when it originally had 2850. So down almost 40%. You would have a much better experience with a new battery.
