What are the minimum power requirements for an HP ZBook Power 15.6-inch G10 Mobile Workstation PC, considering that the supplied charger provides 150W? Most modern docking stations now supply power via USB-C, which supports a maximum of 100W. Is 100W sufficient to power the laptop while using a docking station, and how would this affect performance or battery life when compared to using the full 150W charger?
Where would I find info on this ?

It is not enough, it will only charge if the laptop is turned off, you should buy one of 150 watts or more. For example

Hi @Resistencia,
Thanks for your quick response.
Is it possible to use a docking station with a 100W power supply alongside the 150W charger that comes with the laptop—essentially using both power supplies simultaneously?
The HP Thunderbolt 230W G2 dock is out of stock everywhere I’ve checked in New Zealand, and it’s also twice the price of other brands.

Yes you can, but it doesn't make sense if you are going to use a charger through the USB-C port, what is the point of also using the laptop charger?
I would like to point out that this charger that I´m indicating to you must be purchased with the double cable, one for USB and the other for the charging jack.
This is because the dock port is a maximum of 100 watts.

The point would be to get the benefit of using the thunderbolt connector for transfer speed & graphics & using the original charger to provide the required power. We we do a lot of CAD work so graphic intensive.
Its difficult to find a USB C or thunder bolt docking station without power supply these days & they only provide up to 100W. The one you recommended is not in stock anywhere I looked in New Zealand.
I also have quite a few machines to update so the cost off docking stations is an important part of it

ok, but you can use a dock without power delivery and the charger because you really only need 150 watts, but as I told you, you can use both,
