Common problems for Battery
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about: Battery Reports, Hold a charge, Test and Calibrating Battery . Check out this link: Is your notebook plugged in and not charging?

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to preface this by first saying that I don't believe this is a hardware issue, the random shutdowns happen regardless of whether my laptop is connected to the charger or not and also regardless of anything that is actively running. The fan seems to be running fine so I also don't think this is an overheating issue either.

edit: while I don't think overheating is the problem I am still considering that it might be and am thinking of buying a can of compressed air to clean the fan

After first replacing the battery there were no issues (this was DIY however besides some slight removal of dust no other part was contacted and no other part has been replaced prior), it was only the next day that my laptop would sporadically shutdown at seemingly random intervals of 20-40 minutes, sometimes more or less but almost never reaching an hour. While I do not currently have the Part Number to share, it is identical besides the printing on the battery which I have chalked up to just being due to a difference in the date of manufacture

I have reinstalled Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery, this did not work
I have updated the BIOS, this did not work
I have run the Operating System Check, which did find and fix an issue that my laptop did not recognize the change in hardware, this also did not work

I will try to provide more information as required when asked but at the moment this is everything I think should be stated

Don't worry, I understand that your HP notebook is not working correctly after battery replacement I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue.

The last thing I can suggest try and restore the OS back to the factory default, which will isolate whether it’s a software or hardware issue.  The HP Cloud Recovery Tool allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive. You can use the downloaded recovery image file in order to install the Windows operating system.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
