I recently noticed that my HP laptop is showing the message "plugged in, not charging". The led turns from red to white immediately after I plug in the charger. I tried using the laptop without the battery and it worked fine, so I think the problem is not with the charger. I also tried running HP Pc hardware diagnostics UEFI and HP support assistant to test the battery but they reported that the battery is working fine. I tried uninstalling the battery device driver from device manager, then remove the battery, pressed the power button for 1 min, inserted the battery back, and started the computer. Still the issue persists. What should I do?

I reviewed your post and I understand that the battery is not getting charged and you are getting plugged in not charging message on the computer.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you update the BIOS from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
