Common problems for Battery

Problem:
* Laptop randomly shutdown and turns on after plugging charger.

* Charging indicator turns white even if it's not 100% charged.

* Charging stops at 99%, doesn't charges to 100%.

Solutions tried:
* Tried keeping laptop at normal temperature.

* Updated BIOS.

* Updated windows.

* Tried different OS(i.e Ubuntu)

* Tried, removing charger and battery then pressing power button for 15s and inserting battery again.

* Tried uninstalling Microsoft ACPI from Device Manager > Batteries.

* Tried safe mode

Further details:

* Battery status *ok*
* Cycle count 113/300

Since the issue persists after performing all the troubleshooting steps, I suggest you contact HP Support in your Region

 


1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/ 
2) Select your product type below.
3) Enter the serial of your device. 
4) Select the country from the drop-down. 
5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences. 
6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.
