Hello,
I have been experiencing problems with the battery, not showing low lever warning and shutting down the system when its around 50%. Also, sometimes the battery icon from the toolbar tray disappears until next restart of the system. All symptoms are exactly like the ones in this post
I had tried the solutions suggested (reinstall battery drivers, chip-set drivers and bios update) without luck.
If anyone had a suggestion, will be much appreciated.
Thanks

@Alejus_Clear Welcome to HP Community!
I understand that the laptop will shut down while battery at 50%.
I have a few steps listed below that should help you resolve this concern:
Unplug the charger and use the laptop until the battery drains to 15%.
Turn off the laptop and turn it back on after 30mins.
Reinstalled Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery under device manager,
Restart the computer and the issue should be fixed.
Also, Go through them all and let me know what you have determined is causing the issue.
The first document has the most relevant troubleshooting if your battery appears to be not charging

Please perform the battery test on HP support assistance and check.
