@Manjur25, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If some keys on your HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-d4000 (4C802AV) are not working, here are a few steps you can follow to troubleshoot the issue:
Basic Checks
- Restart your laptop: Sometimes a simple reboot can fix temporary glitches.
- External keyboard test: Connect a USB keyboard. If it works fine, the issue is likely with the laptop’s built-in keyboard.
Check for Physical Damage or Debris
- Gently clean around the non-working keys using compressed air or a soft brush.
- Check if any keys are physically stuck or damaged.
Update or Reinstall Keyboard Drivers
- Press Win + X → Select Device Manager.
- Expand Keyboards → Right-click on your keyboard device → Select Update driver.
- If updating doesn’t help, try Uninstall device and restart your laptop. Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.
Run HP Hardware Diagnostics
- Turn off the laptop.
- Turn it back on and immediately press Esc repeatedly → Press F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
- Select Component Tests → Keyboard Test.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to test each key.
Check for Windows Updates
- Go to Settings → Windows Update → Check for updates and install any available.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
