HP Pavilion x360 - 14-dh1025tx
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi All,

I have this HP Pavilion x360 Convertible.

I had bought this laptop with pre-installed windows 10. Even in windows 10, I was facing issues while switching to tablet or desktop mode.

And the, I upgraded to windows 11. And now the laptop has become my horror.

When, I start or Restart or do any such activities. It remains at a blank dark screen most of the time. Sometimes, I get lucky enough to see the startup screen. But then also, my touchpad, and keyboard will not work. The finger print sensor and the touchscreen works fine.

Now, coming to hardware issues. I went to the BIOS settings. And there, everything works fantastic. The keyboard, the touch, etc. All works well and good.

It's the startup where everything is getting corrupt.

I have talked to the Microsoft (Click here to see replies from Microsoft. ). Did some reset. Still of no use.

Also to mention. After this issue, I somehow have managed to install the latest BIOS update recived for my laptop.

I have now, uninstalled my keyboard drivers and re-started as the drivers were up to date. Still the same issue. My next try will be to uninstall the graphics driver and try my luck again.

If nothing works. Probably I have to switch back to windows 10.

Here's the reason why:

I checked on support.hp, only to find out that they do not have any supporting drivers for windows 11 in my laptop.

That's very sad and disheartening to find out. You spend so much money on these fancy laptop only to find out that you have bought a ton of headache operating this device!

HP! You along with Microsoft have ruined my laptop experience.

My next buy will be either a Linux or a Mac! All thanks for your buggy laptops.

I have a few recommendations

  • Update your Notebook computer to latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Try doing Reset PC Keep my files from windows and check if it works.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi Dilip_18,

I have tried everything which you have mentioned. Nothing works.
But, I think I now know how to fix this.
I left my laptop for a week as it is. After a week my keyboard has started working. Although, the startup is still causing issues like blank screen and all. But the important thing is that, I could use it normally now after opening of the laptop.

Probable solution: Leave the laptop to On mode without charging. Let your laptop discharge completely. Completely, means no battery charge left even for the internal clocks to work. And then plug in and open. It might work. This happened twice with me.
Hope this helps for other people facing the same issue.
