So I was using my HP laptop when it suddenly made a burning smell, I shut it down immediately, I figure it was either an use with the battery or the cooling system.

 

When I opened it up the battery looked fine...I think

 

Though the bottom cover, Mainly the part that had the cooling fan was pretty dusty, So I blew as much dry air as I could over the cover and the laptop (I don't have compressed air) and I gave the cover a wipe with a dry paper towel
