Hello, I have recently decided to dissasemble my PC to clean all the dust that was inside. After assembling everything back, I decided to check if everything is okay and it turned out that my computer turns on for approx 2 seconds, then shuts down and does the same thing repeatedly. I have tried several things:

1. Press the power button for 1 minute with removed battery and charger

2. Insert RAM to other slot

3. Try to boot up only with a screen connected (no hard, no RAMS, etc.)

4. Checked all the connections, wires, etc.

The only thing which changed something was removing RAM’s, because computer turned on for around 15-20 seconds (instead of 2) and then turned off repeatedly. The screen doesn’t show any signs of working as well, even the backlight doesnt work. What else can I try to do? Is it the motherboard fault?

Hi,

What exactly was disassembled? Have you used the antistatic mat or wrist strap? We need more information.

Hello, thanks for your reply.

I was using wrist strap. Before realizing the issue, I have removed the keyboard, fan and the battery. Motherboard, RAM’s and hard drive remained untouched initially.
