Hi there,
I had my original machine repaired 3 times before higher management supplied a new one about a year ago.
The issues with the new laptop are things like over-heating, battery drainage, and CPU underperformance.
I included a screenshot of the GPU temperatures from straight after booting, through 10 mins of 1080p video on YouTube.
As you can see, the battery also dropped from 32% to 21% in that time. If I plug the AC in, it causes it to overheat further.
The HP Command Center does not work, so I can't control fan speed.
My son uses the laptop for studying and 3D modeling on apps such as SketchUp. These work well for about 10 minutes then slow to a crawl.
An expert advised us that this app should run well with our laptop's specs, but it doesn't.
The warranty expired last week so I can't get through to anyone.
